Cheesy: check, dancing: check, Lowell Tauchin with Milo Spijkers and Karen Elson with Raquel Zimmerman(who onced told US Vogue she takes dancing classes); check, check, check, check.... This is too funny and adorable to be true. Everyone who has eyes should watch this or endure it without falling off yor chair for 1:01 minute. Mr. Elbaz looks adorable!

Contender of the Coats

Hunting for coats for fall on one of the hottest day here in the UK is odd but ... I need a coat for the next 10-20 seasons to come. Something comfortable, light but warm, textured, slightly oversized (so I can layer stuff underneath it), light grey or beige not black(i really dislike black and i can't really explain why, ask Anna). I look at many collection and have concluded that I like the texture at Lanvin, the bright colours at Raf and the cut from Dries. It is such a big dilemma when you are trying to find the "perfect" coat that you want to treasure and wear for a very long time because 1) they cost like 1500 pounds and up 2) there are so many types of cut that suits you but for different occasions 3)You want something interesting, not too much that it will dated the next season but also something that is not boring(another charcoal grey coat double button, two pockets...I'm already yawning).
I started my hunt by looking at Lanvin which I remember that I liked the first look(the photo below) which is a grey knee-lenght coat with wide lapel in tweed textured fabric. This coat would have been good, the colour was perfect but it won't be in store until august and it costs about 3000 pounds. I went to Lanvin and they do have one coat in which was a very simple charcoaly black coat like the one in the first picture but the pocket has a horizontal zip. It fits very well, very slim, streamline but very normal. Not something I will treasure or want to wear again and again.
So I went to Dover Street Market and stumbled upon Celine Women RTW, there were two coats, one in navy and one in taupe with a dark velvet collar. They were both wool. They were very light, masculine(based on a man's coat). The guy(Ben Freeman) who works there told me that they were from the pre fall collection. They were perfect actually, I especially like the taupe one, it has a zipper instead of buttons and it fits so well. The navy is a classic with no button. What I like was that the shape were very interesting and quite roomy. The lines and the shape of the jacket was very precise in contrast with the Lanvin coat that I've tried on earlier. I couldn't find any pictures but the shape of the coats were exactly like the one in orange in the picture below. Here it looks very feminine but It actually looks very good on. I still feel odd about investing 2600 pounds on a women's coat tho.
I am also waiting for the stuff from Dries Van Noten, so far it looks very good, but again I have to try them on before making a decision. I like the boxy shape of these coats. And the fur collar if worn right can look very good.
Shopping can be so difficult mentally. If you have any suggestion for a good investment coat, do tell me.

I have finally finish my exams, the last one was yesterday morning! It was maths C4 and it was probably the most stressfully anticipated exam ever so I am very happy that now it is over! So I've been busy revising of course but thought that I should get this out before I start wanting to talk about all the mens show showing in Milan at the moment, so here we go, here are the Resort 2012 I like.

We are getting fantastic colours again but now instead of bright fluorescent, the colours are a little more faded, or off. So we see lots of mints and mustards lurking around everywhere. If there weren't colours, then there are prints: those amazing, exotic, tropical, wild flower prints we see at Givenchy, The hawaiian inspired prints at stella mccartney or the Navajo and mexican squares at Proenza Schouler. While Mr. Pilati took a different turn at YSL, sailing that is. A mixed of 40's sailor inspired stripes match with bold 80's seashells and anchor accesories. It was a bit like female sailors on shore leave with those cute stripey dresses followed by those flowy dresses at the end that remind us of those pin ups of that era. And Lanvin did what they do best; flowy, long, feminine yet powerful and directional.

A fox tail at Lanvin

Lanvin Fall/Winter 2011

Since I hate reading too much text, I'm just going to keep this very brief. Another beautiful collection from Lucas Ossendrijver, I love the fact that suits are not too "skinny" and actually becoming a lot looser and the trousers too are pleated, reminiscent of the 20's. These are the pick of the outfits I like from this collection. Check out more after the jump. PS: The designer has definitely had a mutual agreement that they are going to feature mustard yellow this season. I'm not complaining, mustard was my first favourite colour so I have a very nostalgic response to anything yellow.

things of scarf and bow tie...

My sister bought me this from Japan. It is from Lanvin en Bleu which a line exclusive to Japan (just like Burberry Blue label and Blackbarrett by Neil Barrett) which targets younger audiences. The line focuses more on street and denim wear ranging from jeans, sneakers to outerwears. I haven't seen the line in person yet only on their online website which apparently displays a limited range. I was so excited when I heard about the line and was quite surprise as the line seems to be quite affordable and immediately called my sister who is currently studying in Tokyo to go check them out. Not to my surprise, the line is sold exclusively to Japan which is understandable and not (since japanese spend a huge section of their income on luxury goods.) My sister was really nice a bought me this necklace bow tie that is made of knitted wool. There is also a line for women which seem to have some very cute pearl hairbands and of course some very affordable statement jewellery. Very interesting and can't wait to check out more stuff in the future when I get to visit my sister.

This shirt fits perfectly on me, it is like the perfect white shirt! I've been looking for one for a while, I started at Zara, then Uniqlo, then Prada and on... Anyway, I've found this one now which is perfect and the collar is removable. Thank you Mr. Ghesquire!!!

This is not a fresh purchase and I've been wearing it for a while. I bought it a while back when I was in Paris with my mother (way back in September.) I was extremely cold and I saw this scarf and it took my breath away (just joking, I'm just being dramatic here,) It's a flowy, silky, satiny, navy scarf - a classic  Lanvin with geometric "L" prints which gave it a modern twist. To my friends surprise who always question how warm this scarf actually is, and I swear on my life that this scarf is very warm. It is a mixed fabric of silk, wool and cashmere. It is so light that it is hard to believe it is actually warm.Source URL: http://naturalbellescloset.blogspot.com/search/label/Lanvin

Acne Biker Leather Jacket

    © by ACNE

After trying on multiple biker jackets, I have been drawn to them which is a surprise since I don't usually go for these sort of thing (leather+black.) But last week when I went to check out the Lanvin summer collection, there weren't so many items since it was only the beginning of December but a leather jacket caught my eye, it was similar to the last season's leather coat. It was about £2100 which is too much for me. Then I came across this one from acne which is £475 which is perfect! I can't wait to try them on at the store when I get back to the UK. They come in black, navy and a cherry colour, I think I prefer the black but maybe the navy would be exciting.
